Woof! Fun dog mural adds splash of colour to run-down space in Wolverhampton street

Graffiti artists have been creating colourful scenes outside a vacant site in Chapel Ash
It’s a case of “’woof’ can we do to make an ugly piece of land in Wolverhampton look better?”
Talented graffiti artists have been adding a splash of colour to building hoardings outside a large vacant plot of land in Chapel Ash opposite the former Banks’s Brewery.

The site, which is due to be developed in future, has been turned into a colourful piece of art with a mural of a cream-coloured Yorkshire terrier called Zack bursting through the paintwork.
This mural, along with a separate black city skyline within bright yellow letters outlined boldly in red, were created by Wolverhampton’s Pilgrimz Projectz.

The area features designs by other spray artists from the city and from Birmingham.

Zack the dog was owned by artist Pilgrimz Projectz and sadly died last year aged 14.
Zack’s mural features an array of colours in purple, blue, yellow and orange making it stand out and adding a pop of colour to the area.
Permission was given by the owner of the land and the owner of the neighbouring garage to brighten up the spaces.
The aim of the project is to improve neglected or run-down sites to create more pleasing views for passers-by.
