Wolves boss Cesar Peixoto happy with his team’s organisation in away win

Sheffield Wednesday were beaten at Hillsborough in the second round of the Carabao Cup.
Wolves head coach Cesar Peixoto praised the effort and organisation shown by his players in their 2-0 Carabao Cup win at Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday.
The visitors got off to a great start, taking a third-minute lead following an own goal from Sil Swinkels, before debutant Saheed Olagunju put the visitors further ahead in time added on at the end of the half.
Peixoto said: “I think we started very well and in the first half we could have scored more. The team did a good job with a lot of effort from all the players.
“We stayed organised and didn’t concede any goals. A clean sheet for us is important and a win away is important. I’m happy with the players.
“The team stayed organised and we deserved to win. We want to try to win all the games.
“I think it is important to put minutes in all of the players to stay at the same level.”
Wednesday boss Henrik Pedersen took some positives from the second round tie.
He said: “It was a very, very good test for our guys. We knew we would play against a very strong team and it was a very strong team.
“We gave ourselves a very difficult beginning with an own goal, but then we worked into the game. We had some good transitions but the good chances we didn’t create.
“In the second half, we were stronger on the ball and were more dynamic. It was a strong performance from a lot of players.”
