Harry Kane nears agreement on new Bayern Munich contract

The England captain has taken his career to new heights following his 2023 move to the Allianz Arena but is in the final year of his current deal.
Harry Kane is closing in on a new contract at Bayern Munich, the Press Association understands.
The 33-year-old is in the final year of his current deal but negotiations over a fresh deal are progressing positively.
Kane has always stated his desire to stay at the Bundesliga club and the two parties are edging towards an agreement, with some final details to iron out.
The England captain has taken his career to new heights following his move to the Allianz Arena in the summer of 2023 and is the favourite to win the Ballon d’Or later this month.

He has scored 154 goals in 156 games for the club and has helped them to back-to-back Bundesliga titles.
Kane said earlier this month: “Talks are going well. I’ve been quite open and honest about that.
“We are still in talks now and I think they are progressing in the right way. Both sides have been very relaxed about it.
“Everyone can see I am happy there, the way I’m performing, the way I talk off the pitch. I think it is just open and honest. I am hoping something gets done.
“Over the next month or so there should be some sort of decision and I think it will be a positive one.”
