Erling Haaland haircut headlines new-look – in more ways than one – Man City

Haaland’s buzz cut was far from the only thing that was different at the Etihad Stadium this season.
The result of Erling Haaland’s encounter with a set of clippers may have commanded the photographers’ attention at the Etihad Stadium, but he was not the only Manchester City player sporting a new hairstyle.
City’s prolific Norwegian striker announced on social media on the morning of the game he had shorn off his trademark long blond locks in favour of a more rugged buzz cut.
While some fans of a certain vintage may have momentarily thought his father Alf-Inge was back on the field, other regulars may have needed time to adjust.

And there was plenty of adjusting to do with Rico Lewis not only back in the side after a spell on the fringes – pun intended – last season, but charging down the right with a shorter, bleached-blond look.
Nico O’Reilly’s highlights continue to look more pronounced as his hair grows and Abdukodir Khusanov is also looking more floppy up top than last term.
This was all well and good but it was not what City fans had in mind from a new-look team. Thankfully for them, two late goals saved them from a bad hair day.
