Wolves to assess Pedro Lima ahead of potential second loan
Rob Edwards says Wolves will assess Pedro Lima this month ahead of potentially sending him out on another loan.
The 19-year-old returned from a loan at Porto this week, where he played nine times for the B team in the second tier of Portuguese football, but did not feature for the first team.
Lima has travelled with the Wolves first team for the clash against Everton, but head coach Edwards admits he could yet leave on loan again before the window closes.
Wrexham, as well as other Championship and League One clubs, previously expressed an interest in signing Lima and he could get a loan in English football for the rest of this season.
When asked for the plan on Lima's future, Edwards said: "We'll see. I had a quick chat with him today.
"He's impressed in the couple of days that he's been in.
"What we want to try and do is look at him and we'll try and make the right call for us, but also for his progression as well going forward.
"We'll probably take a few weeks on that as well.
"We understand if he does play for us, then that rules out anything else in terms of him going out, so we'll have to make the right call on that.
"We'll see over the next few weeks."
Lima, who has represented Brazil at under-17s and under-20s level, made six first team appearances for Wolves in his debut season last year, including three in the Premier League.
He featured twice for Wolves' under-21s earlier this season before leaving on loan and he has now been recalled.
Wolves beat Chelsea to his signature in June 2024, in a £8.4million deal from Sport Recife.
