Wolves star Matheus Cunha handed FA ban
Wolves star Matheus Cunha has been hit with a two-match ban by the Football Association.

The forward was charged by the FA following his outburst at full-time in the defeat to Ipswich in mid-December, where he appeared to elbow an opposition staff member before ripping glasses off his face.
Cunha was not punished by the officials at the time, but later charged by the governing body.
The Brazilian was given a few days to respond to the charge but Wolves did not hear back from the FA before the trip to Leicester, the Boxing Day clash against Manchester United or the game at Spurs, as evidence was being gathered.
That meant Cunha was free to play in all three games, as he scored against both the Foxes and United before coming off injured at half-time against Spurs.
An FA statement at the time of the charge read: “Matheus Cunha has been charged with misconduct following the Premier League match between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Ipswich Town on Saturday, 14 December.
“The forward allegedly acted in an improper manner after the final whistle. He has until Thursday, 19 December, to provide a response.”
However, the FA have now communicated their decision to Wolves, banning Cunha for two games and handing him a hefty fine
Their latest statement read: "Matheus Cunha has been suspended for two games and fined £80,000 following the Premier League fixture between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Ipswich Town on Saturday 14 December 2024.
"The forward was charged with misconduct and it was alleged that he acted in an improper manner after the final whistle. He admitted the charge and the sanctions were subsequently imposed by an independent Regulatory Commission.
"Full written reasons for this case will be published in due course."
He will now miss the Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest and the FA Cup third round tie at Bristol City.
Wolves and Cunha have chosen not to appeal the decision.
