Wolves get double fitness boost ahead of Watford clash

Two key players are returning to face the Hornets.

Cesar Peixoto has been handed a double fitness boost with both Adam Armstrong and Kieran Trippier returning for Saturday’s visit of Watford.

The pair, who both missed Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Portsmouth, have returned to training and are in the squad, though Peixoto will make a late call on whether either is ready to start against the Hornets.

Rodrigo Gomes, Bertrand Traore and Boubacar Traore both remain sidelined.

Striker Armstrong has sat out the past two matches with a back injury, while right-back Trippier sat out the Pompey fixture with a minor groin issue.

“Adam is an option. Kieran too,” confirmed Peixoto on Friday afternoon.

“They are recovered but I am not sure about (starting). I am going to think and decide tomorrow.

“I am going to talk with them before and with the medical department before making a decision.

“They are training and an option but we have to manage it.”

Wolves host Watford looking for a return to winning ways at Molineux after taking just one point from their last two home matches.
