Wolves Fans' Verdict v Brentford: Hopes dashed after poor Molineux performance
Our Wolves fans have their say on the defeat to Brentford.

There is nothing to say about this game that hasn't already been said. What looked like our easiest remaining fixture, coupled with the Arsenal performance, gave us hope at the start.
That hope was fairly quickly dashed. Although it remained 0-0 until the break there was little to suggest this might indeed be our day. Allowing the opposition to dictate the tempo of the game, despite them also looking a poor side, was another demoralising experience. A good save from Sa was the only significant first half action worthy of a mention although the forward endeavour from Wolfe was a highlight.
Yet again the crowd seemed unwilling to offer any encouragement of note. The players looked anxious whenever they were in possession with so many first time balls played with unnecessary haste.
Rather than us starting the second half with renewed vigour, instead it was Brentford - they had three chances to score within five minutes, Sa twice coming to the rescue.
The writing was clearly on the wall.
Despite the limited options, it was surely time to change our personnel.
Our resistance did not last long and our inability to prevent so many crosses being played into our box saw Bueno and Krejci fail to deal with one and we were a goal behind.
Gomes and Andre had again been working like trojans but with nothing happening ahead of them possession was more often than not played backwards. Rob Edwards could, and should have changed the front three before we'd conceded, rather than introduce Mane just after. Again, leaving Tolu until the last 10 minutes is totally baffling.
To cap it all off, a dreadful penalty by Larsen was comfortable saved.
Hopefully everyone can 'park' the Wolves situation for a few days and have a Merry Christmas. Best wishes to you all.

With all hope long buried, perhaps it was naïve of us to expect a ray of hope from this dishevelled squad.
But truly, such utter ineptitude so incompetently delivered summed up the shameful neglect and dereliction of duty that is distorting the club. Brentford casually became yet another team who simply had to marginally up their tempo to leave Wolves bedraggled, totally confused and hopelessly malfunctioning.
After a dire first-half, the opening minutes after the interval were all too familiar. The opposition, stronger, quicker and alarmingly more organized, start to turn the screw. The outcome might be delayed but the result is inevitable.
Jose Sa made three desperate saves, one of which was quite magnificent, but he was weakly left exposed by his colleagues and Brentford, like so many before them, feasted on the easy pickings charitably donated to their grateful disposal.
Wolves, lacking even a modicum of fluency before gifting the goals, were hardly likely to respond. The penalty came as a surprise; the poverty of its execution certainly didn’t.
There had been neither method nor composure all afternoon and the embarrassing outcome simply heightened the bitterness and agitation. Ponderous approach work, inaccurate passing, lack of leadership and an innate and crippling mediocrity; resilience, a word they don’t understand.
Substitutions excessively delayed, tactics devoid of any positivity and an inability to forge any hint of discernible direction; the outcome? Absolute oblivion with presumably yet more to follow.
