When will Aston Villa discover date for their FA Cup semi-final clash with Crystal Palace?

Aston Villa fans have plenty to be excited about in the final weeks of the campaign.

Unai Emery's side remain in the hunt for a Champions League place next season - while also competing for a place in the semi-final of this year's competition.

And they have the excitement of a trip to Wembley, as they get ready to face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup last four.

That game is set to take place on the weekend of April 26 and 27, however no date has been confirmed as of yet.

But according to reports in The Mirror, Villa look set to see their tie take place on Saturday rather than the Sunday.

The broadcasters BBC and ITV are yet to confirm the picks, however, the fact Villa are still in the Champions League is rumoured to be having a say in when they will feature in the FA Cup.

Villa head to Paris this week to take on Paris Saint-Germain in the last eight, before the second leg the following week.

If they do get through, then they will face a semi-final first leg clash on the week commending April 28, just after the FA Cup semi-final.

It is of course not known if Villa will defy the odds and get through in the competition, however, the Mirror has reported that TV companies and governing bodies can't afford to wait for confirmation.

So on that basis they are set to schedule Villa against Crystal Palace on Saturday April 26, with the Man City against Nottingham Forest taking place the following day.
