Mikey Johnston fired Albion in front with a superb individual strike in the first period before Colby Bishop fired Portsmouth back into the game with a fine header.

Albion were unlucky not to be awarded a penalty while Portsmouth should have had a man sent off in the second half as they had to settle for a point.

Josh Griffiths 7

Made two really big saves in the first half - the first coming out to smother a really good Portsmouth chance. Aside from that, couldn't do much about the goal and was otherwise untested.

Darnell Furlong 5

A tough afternoon for the Albion captain. Was sloppy in possession on a number of occasions, certainly in the second half and the cross from the left came on his side. Seemed far too easy for Portsmouth to get a ball in.

Nat Phillips 6

Solid and assured, certainly in the air. Played a couple of decent forward passes in the first half but the back four had a difficult afternoon possession wise, with a few stray passes throughout the game.

George Campbell 5

Had a tough start with an early slip then conceded possession and a yellow card with a rash tackle. Will be unhappy with the goal as Bishop was able to get across him to flick it into the corner. Solid in most areas, but will be disappointed with the goal.

Callum Styles 6

Pretty solid stuff from Styles. Always good in possession and tries to play forward where he can. On a number of occasions made good midfield runs to try and give Albion an extra body further up the field.

Alex Mowatt 7

Decent outing for Mowatt. Showed good energy in the first half to win the ball back as quick as possible, and was always forward thinking when picking the ball up in good areas. Unlucky not to find Albion's second as he crashed an effort off the bottom of the post.

Jayson Molumby 6

Got around well and put in some key tackles at big moments of the game. Periods in the first half where he slightly slowed the play down as Albion were attacking. Produced a superb pass for the Heggebo chance and penalty shout in the second half.

Tom Fellows 6

Had a good start with an early cross and provided plenty of ammunition at times from the right flank. Couldn't find that killer ball though from out wide and along with Furlong could be questioned for giving Murphy too much time to cross for the goal.

Isaac Price 5

A really difficult afternoon for the star man. Shot over early and played a couple of decent passes but Portsmouth really did a job on him and he was unable to influence the game like he has done in recent weeks. Was a compliment that Portsmouth kept a tight lead on him.

Mikey Johnston 7

Earned his recall from last week's display and took his chance with both hands. Lively from the off and put Albion in front with a superb curling effort out of nowhere. Looked dangerous at certain periods of the game. Faded slightly before coming off.

Aune Heggebo 8

He is living up to his 'Hulk' nickname. He gave the Pompey back line the run around throughout the afternoon, holding men off, bringing others into play and he has become a real key asset. Was hauled down for the big penalty shout just as he was about to shoot, but caused real problems all day.

Subs

60 Karlan Grant for Johnston 5

Did okay and looked lively at times but couldn't create much down the left.

82 Josh Maja for Price N/A

87 - Jed Wallace for Tom Fellows N/A

87 - Toby Collyer for Molumby N/A

Subs not used: Wildsmith, Williams, Diakite, Taylor, Cole
