Walsall frontman Danny Johnson eager to fight for a starting place
Walsall frontman Danny Johnson is eager to push for a starting place after scoring his fourth goal of the season against Reading in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday.

Johnson scored a dramatic 97th-minute equaliser to notch his 25th goal for the club and cancel out Tyler Sackey's second half opener for Reading.
The 31-year-old went on to convert his spot-kick as Sam Hornby made two saves in a 4-2 shoot-out victory to book Walsall's place in the round of 16 for the first time since 2019.
And Johnson hopes his performances in the EFL Trophy can eventually propel him into contention for a regular first team place.
He said: "Jamma and Lowey have done well when they've started but I'm not one who wants to be sitting on the bench or coming on for five minutes at the end of games," he continued.
"I want to be starting. Like you saw tonight, I'm still getting those chances so when I start, I'm fit and I'm ready to go."
"Individually, I want to keep pushing, I want to break into the team and if I get my opportunity then take it.
"Get as many goals as I know I can and that's my aim. We're one of the fittest teams in the league so when people get those changes then they've got to make sure they take them.
"George (Hall) has taken his chance fine so like the rest of us that are on the bench, we've got to bide our time, make sure we're fit and ready to take our chance."
