Reigning world long jump champion Greg Rutherford has become a father for the second time.

Rutherford and partner Susie Verrill both posted a picture of mother and baby, Rex Gregory Mowgli, on their respective Instagram accounts.

The couple’s first child Milo Andrew William James Nugget was born in 2014.

Rutherford won Olympic long jump gold at London 2012 and was a contestant on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing show in 2016.

The 30-year-old is currently involved in a fitness battle to defend his world title at August’s Championships in London.

Defending champion Rutherford has been selected for the Great Britain Athletics team, but an ankle injury he suffered last month has raised doubts over his participation.
