United in race for Wolves star

After reports emerged of Manchester United targeting a reunion with Wolves goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, the Red Devils have now been linked with a move for Mateus Mane.

United are said to be leading the race to sign the 18-year-old, if he is to leave Wolves this summer.

However, Wolves boss Rob Edwards has already said Mane will stay with the club in the Championship and the player himself has backed that up.

Former defender attracting interest

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly made an offer to sign former Wolves defender Bastien Meupiyou, who is currently at Portuguese side Alverca.

Including add-ons, the offer is reportedly £14.7million and while Wolves have a buy back clause for a small fee, they are not expected to take it up.

The sell-on agreement when Wolves let the player go last summer, will see them recoup the £4.2million they paid to sign the centre-back and then 50 per cent of the profit made on top of that.

If Meupiyou does make a move this summer, Wolves could be set for a windfall of cash.

Villa midfielder contract talks

Reports have suggested that Villa are in contract talks with midfielder Lamare Bogarde.

The 22-year-old has impressed in Unai Emery’s side and he is reportedly attracting interest from other clubs, including Premier League side Brighton.

But Villa are said to be in talks with the midfielder over a new deal to keep him at the club, with his current contract running out in 2028.

Goalkeeper interest

With Villa’s Emi Martinez being linked with a move away, Emery’s side have now been credited with interest in PSG goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier.

Villa have been named alongside Spurs as two clubs that could sign the French shot-stopper this summer.
