Tony Mowbray details summer update with West Brom board
Albion boss Tony Mowbray insists he is happy to contend with on-field targets after summer planning talks with the club's board.

Head coach Mowbray held talks with owner and chairman Shilen Patel and sporting director Andrew Nestor in recent weeks, as well as head of football operations Ian Pearce, who is predominantly based at the club's training HQ.
It is set for another summer of change at The Hawthorns with several high-profile big earners out of contract including Grady Diangana and John Swift among others. Albion decision-makers will continue to work to bring the club's finances under more manageable levels were complying with profit and sustainability laws.
Mowbray, who returned to the club in January, has said he will not play a central leading role in recruitment with Nestor and Pearce - and his recruitment team, but the experienced head coach will have a say in arrivals.
"Listen I enjoyed the conversations with them, but I think they are letting me just get on and win some football matches really, try to focus on the team," Mowbray said when asked about the outcome of recent talks.
"I'm not getting overly involved in the business side, in the recruitment, I don't spend every afternoon for hours in recruitment - they are getting on with it really.
"Without going into it in detail, I'm aware we have to find some spaces in the finances to move forward. How are we going to be able to move forward and what's the best way to do it?"
In much the same position table-wise as this time last season, Albion do not yet know which division they will be operating in next term with a play-off tilt the season-long objective.
Regardless, the summer is likely to bring both the ownership and Mowbray the opportunity to put more of their stint on the club following last year's takeover and head coach's appointment almost 12 months later.
"We haven't really sat down to have those conversations other than 'let's see what this season brings'," added the head coach. "If we make the play-offs and win at Wembley - why are we planning now? You have to plan, but everything would change.
"They're happy for me to just get on and let's see how we go in these games and hopefully we can extend the season and make it exciting. They had it last year. That's got to be our main focus, let's not worry about things that might not happen."
