Tony Mowbray confirms West Brom's appeal decision after Darnell Furlong dismissal
Albion boss Tony Mowbray has confirmed the club will look to appeal Darnell Furlong's suspension following the controversial red card against QPR.

Right-back Furlong was shown a straight red card by referee Adam Herczeg in first-half stoppage time for an apparent alleged elbow on Hoops winger Koki Saito.
Replays appeared inconclusive though head coach Mowbray saw the incident unfold in front of him and believes the incident was a coming together of shoulders, in which QPR's player lowered his head and had his face caught on Furlong's upper arm.
The right-back could face a three-game ban for the incident, ruling him out of clashes against Burnley, Hull and Norwich after the international break. Mowbray confirmed the club will look to lodge an appeal against the ban, though.
“It happened right in front of me – so I can't sit here and plead Arsene Wenger glasses! Darnell tried to block the guy, there was no elbow but the lad tried to duck under his shoulder to avoid the block and caught his face on the top of Darnell’s arm,” said Mowbray.
"There's no throwing of an elbow, intention to hurt anybody. I think the lad tried to out of a shoulder-to-shoulder block. Blocking is part of the game, every single corner there are half-a-dozen blocks.
“I don't want to question the referee or officials. I’m not sure any of the officials saw it. I'm not sure how he got to a red card. I asked if the fourth official made the decision or the assistant. I would suggest it was really harsh and I’m sure we will look to appeal it.”
Mason Holgate was introduced as a half-time substitute and was part of an impressive rearguard display to see out the win.
Albion secured the vital win through Adam Armstrong's first-half penalty in what became a backs-to-the-wall showing from the hosts at The Hawthorns.
Mowbray's men were impressive in limiting the visitors to very little in the second period. The head coach was happy to see his side rewarded with a penalty - the Baggies' first of the season - for the contest's only goal.
"I haven't seen the penalty back, I'm delighted we've got a penalty because we had talked about it. It's our first penalty of the season," added Mowbray. "We haven't been driving into the box with the ball enough, putting teams under enough pressure to cause a last-gasp leg out tackle."
Five sides directly beneath sixth-placed Albion in the Championship all lost points on a potentially significant weekend in the race for the play-offs.
Midfielder Jayson Molumby, who impressed once again, collected his ninth yellow card of the season and is one booking away from a two-match suspension. The cut-off for that ban for 10 bookings comes after Tuesday's game at Burnley.
