"They've got to make us better" - Rob Edwards on Wolves' work to make signings this month

Rob Edwards is anticipating Wolves to move in the transfer window before it closes in February 2.

The Premier League's bottom-placed club are yet to bring any players in, while several members of their squad including Jorgen Strand Larsen, Emmanuel Agbadou and Joao Gomes are attracting interest.

The head coach admits he expects Wolves to do some business before the window closes, but that he does not want to bring players in if they are not the right fit.

"What we've got to do is what's right for the squad here," he said.

"We want to try and maybe bring a couple in, but it's got to fit within the group and what we don't want to do is bring people in unnecessarily.

"If they're not going to make us better, then we won't do that.

"We've got to be really strong in this moment now, we don't want to upset the balance of it.

"We don't need to bring people in if we don't need to, just for the sake of it. So they've got to make us better, that's number one.

"And again, we don't want to let anyone go if that doesn't help us. Both those things are really, really key for us."

When asked if he would be comfortable ending the window with the squad he has now, Edwards added: "I'd be comfortable with that, but I don't anticipate that being the case."

Wolves have found some form of late, going five matches unbeaten in all competitions.

But Edwards says his thoughts on wanting to add to the squad have not changed despite their recent improvement.

He added: "I don't think my thoughts have changed too much, but at the same time, our job is always to try and get the best out of the group and working with the group that we have.

"I'm really enjoying working with these lads at the moment.

"One or two have gone out on loan, and there'll be one or two others that will, I'm sure, but the positive thing is that we're in control of that.

"I still feel the same, I think a little bit of freshness will certainly help us."
