The goalkeeper, who is influential in the dressing room and part of the leadership group, is complimentary on the personalities Wolves have recruited in recent transfer windows.

And he insists that policy must continue to ensure harmony continues among the group, with Wolves still due to bring in several additions this summer to bolster Vitor Pereira's options.

"Since I've been here, there hasn't been that kind of person in the dressing room that is not accepted in the dressing room, and if there has been, they've gone very quickly," Bentley said.

"The club do their due diligence on who they bring through the door, and they tend to bring the right characters in, which for us as a group is obviously great.

"When someone comes in, they're new, no matter their background, their culture, what language they speak, they tend to just fit in and be accepted.

"We try to make them comfortable as a group when someone's new, and that's what happened when I walked through the door as well.

"That's something that is really important to us as a group because Wolves aren't a club that's going to go and spend £120million on a player, and we're not going to go and do mad signings and silly things like that.

"So when we do bring someone through the door, they have to fit in with the culture that we breed as a group and that the club expects and the identity of the club."

Wolves have just returned to England following a training camp in Portugal and, following some friendlies here, they will then spend a weekend in Spain facing Girona.

Bentley believes the specifics in pre-season are not high on the priority list at the moment and instead places more importance on fitness and the togetherness among the squad.

"It's still early days in pre-season," Bentley added.

"I'd be worried if we were peaking now, to be honest, compared to a couple of weeks' time when potentially we've got a few more faces through the door, with a couple more games in, and you're then probably starting to see how the squad's going to take shape for the season.

"But obviously, at this moment in time, it's just about minutes and legs. It's about getting fit.

"It's about conditioning. It's about togetherness, getting the lads back together and us becoming a gelled unit and lads getting to know each other, with Fer (Lopez) who is new and a couple young lads.

"All those things are important at the moment, as opposed to the specifics of performance at this stage in pre-season.

"Me personally, I'd be worried if I was absolutely flying at this stage, and we're probably where we should be."
