On the adjoining table, Shaun Edwards made a 32-break and went on to win by 87 points for Bilston as they moved into a 90-point lead.

Two tight affairs ensued in the middle order with Andy Cambridge winning by 18 points for Sedgley and Ashley Walsall taking victory by 19 points for Bilston.

Sedgley needed to win both of the remaining frames to stand any chance of winning the match, as Bilston headed into the final stretch with a 91-point lead.

Andy Cambridge and Richard Davies managed to win both games, but they only won by 31 and nine points respectively, which meant Bilston secured silverware.

Jamie Spence became the Individual Handicap Champion after beating Ben Wright in the final at Poets Corner.

Wright started positively: winning the first frame comfortable, before 2017 and 2023 semi-finalist Spence levelled the contest after winning the next frame.

Frame three proved to be the highlight of the night as Spence made breaks of 50 and 34 to move into a 2-1 lead.

Wright then took the next frame as the match headed into a decider, which was won by Spence as he lifted the trophy for the first time.

This week, Hotshots will face off against Dudley Ex Service in the Challenge Cup final at Pennefields Bowling Club on Wednesday.

Q Bar Juniors rounded off an excellent season with victory over Division Three rivals Woodfield B in the Consolation Cup final.

A tight match was expected with Q Bar finishing fourth in the division with a record of 17 wins surprisingly receiving a 64-point head start from Woodfield - who finished eighth with 16 wins.

The opening frame initially saw Riley Walker control proceedings for Q Bar until Warren Bradley cleared up the colours for Woodfield.

However, Bradley missed the final black and Riley pounced to win the frame by 12 points.

In the second frame, Q Bar’s Tom Wilkes moved into an early lead, and although Evans restored parity, Wilkes eventually took the frame by 13 points.

Q Bar boasted an 89-point lead heading into the third frame but Woodfield looked set to mount a fightback when Callum Drewett made a 33-break to win the frame by 49 points.

But Bobbie Wilson produced a 33-break of his own for Q Bar in the final frame, as Q Bar won by a score-line of 459-407.
