"Rob trusts everybody" - Toti Gomes on Wolves' captaincy decision
Wolves defender Toti Gomes insists he has no concerns over the captain's armband, despite not receiving it on his return from injury.
The centre-back is part of a four-man leadership team alongside Jose Sa, Matt Doherty and Joao Gomes, but has been the one sporting the armband when he has played this season.
Toti finally made his return from a hamstring injury after more than two months when he started against Villa, but Sa remained captain.
Both Toti and head coach Rob Edwards shrugged off questions about the armband when asked about the decision to give it to Sa.
"We have four captains in the team," Toti said.
"Rob trusts everybody, all of the four captains. Myself too, I trust all of them.
"It's not because I was not the captain that something is wrong. We have a good group of leaders and whoever is the captain, for sure, is going to do their best to help the team-mates.
"Sa was the captain, but it's important to have other voices too on the pitch, not just him."
Edwards added: "I didn't even think about it really, captaincy doesn't mean that much to me.
"I want a team of leaders, we'll get there eventually, we haven't got that at the moment.
"But it doesn't make too much difference.
"Toti's been out for a long, long time and Jose's been top, so it wasn't even a decision for me."

Toti last played on December 13 when he picked up that hamstring injury and after being an unused substitute against Crystal Palace last weekend, he played 90 minutes at Molineux against Villa.
The 27-year-old is delighted to be back, but admits it was difficult mentally to watch from the sidelines.
"It feels good," he said.
"It's been two months since December, it's been a lot mentally as well, a lot of work, but I made sure I did everything that I could, training well, eating well, and doing everything so I could come back as quick as possible to try to help my team-mates.
"Of course, the moment is not the best, the position is not the best, but we are here and we cannot hide from it.
"We're going to go until the end and keep fighting for this club."
When asked about sitting out and watching the team, Toti added: "It's tough.
"Sometimes you even suffer more when you're outside watching the game. But it is what it is, I trust all of my team-mates.
"I know that whoever is going to play, they know the game plan, everything that they've been doing at the training ground.
"So you just need to trust them and support."
