Medical set as Wolves agree move for new striker
Wolves have agreed a fee to sign Southampton striker Adam Armstrong.
As exclusively revealed by the Express & Star, Wolves enquired about the 28-year-old on Sunday and they have now moved quickly to agree a £7million deal, plus £2million in add-ons.
Armstrong will have his Wolves medical on Monday and complete his move, ahead of the transfer window deadline at 7pm.
The Englishman will be a replacement for Jorgen Strand Larsen, who has agreed a move to Crystal Palace for £43million, with £5million in add-ons.
Armstrong has been with Southampton since 2021 and has scored 43 goals in 174 appearances. He also had a brief spell on loan at West Brom in 2025.
The striker was not in Southampton's squad for their win over Stoke on Saturday, but is their leading goalscorer with 11 Championship goals this season.
