Major development at Championship club amid Wolves' search for new head coach
Rob Edwards has not taken Middlesbrough training as negotiations continue over a move to become Wolves head coach.

The former Wolves player, academy coach and one-time interim boss did not take team training on Friday for Boro's fixture against Birmingham on Saturday and his scheduled press conference was cancelled.
This came after Wolves' had an official approach for Edwards rebuffed by the Championship club on Thursday afternoon, who are still keen to keep their manager.
Talks have taken place between Wolves and Edwards' representatives this week and now, after this latest development, there is an expectation that Edwards will replace Vitor Pereira as Wolves' new head coach.
However, Wolves still have to overcome the hurdle of paying compensation to Middlesbrough if Edwards is to be released from his contract.
Talks are moving in the right direction and an agreement could be struck soon.
Wolves also have a final shortlist of candidates drawn up and are ready to make a swift appointment in the coming days.
Under-21s boss James Collins has taken first team training this week, alongside under-18s head coach Richard Walker, and the pair will take the team at Chelsea tomorrow night.
Collins, who was interim at Wolves for eight games alongside Steve Davis in 2022, was coy when asked about Edwards' potential move to Molineux.
"I saw this last time when it was going to be Michael Beale, it was done and then it wasn't done," he said.
"So I don't think it's right (to comment), as far as I know, Rob is working for Middlesbrough football club at the moment.
"I know Rob myself because he worked in the same role I did before me and I had a lot of conversations with him around that.
"He's a terrific guy and I know Rob will be fully focused on his next game at Middlesbrough."
