Sam Johnstone - 5

The goalkeeper was flat-footed for the first goal, in an unconvincing but not terribly poor performance. His distribution was also much better than last time we saw him.

Matt Doherty - 8

Wolves' best player on the day, Doherty was full of energy and was a constant threat as he got into dangerous areas. He deserved his goal and it was an excellent finish.

Nelson Semedo - 6

Playing in an adapted position, Semedo had a strong first half but struggled a bit more in the second half as he was caught out.

Santi Bueno - 5

Bueno was turned too easily and caught out of position. He looked sloppy when the ball was played in behind him.

Toti Gomes - 6

A decent enough display from Toti, who was stronger on and off the ball. However, he was fortunate to see a goal chalked off for VAR that left him red faced.

Rayan Ait-Nouri - 7

Ait-Nouri, who has been quiet in recent weeks, was much better and offered more threat. He found space and delivered dangerous crosses, bagging a good assist.

Mario Lemina - 5

In a tepid display, Lemina showed more fight after the final whistle when he lost his head. The captain must produce much more.

Andre - 6

Andre looked after the ball well enough and kept it moving, but did not stand out and seemed to be swallowed up by the large pitch.

Joao Gomes - 6

Playing more advanced, J.Gomes got into the occasional good position and should score at 0-0, but he is better suited to a deeper role.

Matheus Cunha - 5

Anonymous for the majority of the game, Cunha is going through a tough spell. He was unable to get close to team-mates and was too slow in possession.

Jorgen Strand Larsen - 5

Isolated and very quiet, the talented striker was hauled off the pitch and fairly so. He needs to find a way to impact physical tests.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde (for Andre, 62), 6, Goncalo Guedes (for Larsen, 62), 6, Tommy Doyle (for J.Gomes, 78), Rodrigo Gomes (for Ait-Nouri, 86).

Subs not used: Bentley, Dawson, Lima, Forbs, Hwang.
