Halesowen open to signing young Walsall striker on loan
Russ Penn says Halesowen would "jump at the chance" to sign Walsall striker Charlie Wragg if a loan opportunity became available again next season.

Wragg spent the second half of the season on loan at the Grove, scoring twice in 17 appearances in total.
The 18-year-old netted in a 3-1 win over local rivals Stourbridge in February and scored the equaliser in an eventual 3-2 defeat against AFC Telford United in the Southern Premier Division Central play-off semi-finals.
He also had loan spells at Bromsgrove Sporting and Alvechurch respectively earlier in the campaign, scoring seven goals in 43 appearances at Step 3 level for three different clubs.
The teenager had particular success at Bromsgrove - registering three goals and one assist in 13 matches. He was also named the club's Player of the Month and won their Goal of the Month award for August 2024.
Walsall announced their decision to extend Wragg's scholarship terms ahead of the 2025-26 campaign and Penn says he would be open to welcoming the young striker back to Halesowen if the opportunity presents itself.
"I've got nothing but praise for him and if the option was there to loan him again then I would jump all over it," the Halesowen boss stated.
"He was that good of a player and I think he'll be even stronger next year. I know he'll benefit from the year that he has just had. Not just with us, but at the level in general.
"Hopefully he can progress and whether his next loan is with us, in the league above, or even in the first team at Walsall, he'll always remember this season."
Wragg made his senior debut for Walsall aged 17 at the start of last season, when he was introduced as a last-minute substitute in a 1-0 win over Fulham under-21s in the EFL Trophy in September 2024.
