Wolverhampton hosts inaugural Staffordshire Squash Cup
The first ever Squash Staffordshire Cup was held in Wolverhampton.
Four Oaks were crowned the inaugural Squash Staffordshire Cup championship after beating Lilleshall in the final.

Wolverhampton overcame Oak Park in the play-off for third-place in the new grassroots squash tournament at the Wolverhampton Lawn Tennis and Squash Club.
“We wanted to create something that brought clubs together and gave teams something extra to play for at the end of the season,” event organiser James Roberts said.

“The atmosphere has been fantastic and final nights really delivered - great matches, a great atmosphere and everything you would want from county-level squash.”
The evening also celebrated the conclusion of the Staffordshire Winter League with Tamworth crowned league champions following a strong season.
Each club unveiled their player of the tournament and player of the season award winners.
A statement added: “There are already plans to build on this momentum, with organisers hoping to make the Staffordshire Cup a regular fixture in the county squash calendar.”
