Real Betis are rumoured to be one of the clubs interested in the attacker, according to reports in Portugal.

And while no contact has yet been made between the two clubs, a bid is anticipated for the 27-year-old.

Podence signed a four-and-a-half-year contract at Molineux back in January 2020 in a deal worth £17 million from Olympiacos and so he has one year left to run

He featured 32 times in the Premier League for Wolves last campaign, 20 of those were starts with 12 substitute appearances.

And during that time he scored six goals – ending as joint top scorer with Ruben Neves while registering three assists.

But Wolves would be keen to do a deal for the Portuguese international.

If he were to leave he would follow Ruben Neves, who signed for Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal a few weeks back, and Nathan Collins, who signed for Brentford earlier this week, out of Molineux.

There is also interest in central defender Max Kilman, with Italian champions Napoli in pursuit of the centre-back having already seen a £30 million offer rejected.

Julen Lopetegui and Wolves are determined to keep hold of the highly-rated 26-year-old, with Napoli thought to be set to return with a second bid.

Kilman’s current deal, agreed in 2021, runs until 2026 with the option of a further year in Wolves’ favour.
