Wolves striker Fabio Silva has joined Las Palmas on a season-long loan.

The £35million forward has been training away from the first team all summer and took no part in the pre-season tours of Spain and America, as Wolves looked to find him a move.

The club were keen on a permanent deal, or a loan with an obligation, but after several weeks without a move they have now settled on a straight loan.

It will not include an option for the La Liga side to purchase Silva permanently, however they will pay his full wages for the season.

Silva currently has two years left on his Wolves contract, with the option of a further year, but has no place back at the club under head coach Gary O'Neil.

The player was also eager for a move away and has finally settled on a club.

Wolves' hope is that the forward will impress in Spain before leaving permanently in January or next summer.
