Wolves eye young star

Wolves are again casting their net to Ireland in a bid to unearth new talent.

Bohemians midfielder Gary Deegan continues to attract their eye, but the player is also being tracked by Roy Keane's Ipswich and Peterborough, managed by former Wolves midfielder Darren Ferguson

The 21-year-old is out of contract at the end of the eircom League season in October and would cost little at a tribunal.

Bohemians was where Wolves recruited Stephen Ward in January 2007 for a bargain £100,000.

And Mick McCarthy's scouting network is well connected in Ireland from the manager's six years in charge of the national side from 1996-2002.
