Wolves defender Toti Gomes eager for dream debut
Wolves defender Toti Gomes admits he is desperate to take his chance in the Portugal squad as he waits for his senior debut.

The 24-year-old was called up to the national team for the first time in May and has been a regular in Roberto Martinez’s squads, but is yet to play a minute for his country.
Portugal face Liechtenstein in the Euro qualifier tonight, with Iceland coming up on Sunday, and Toti is ready and waiting to finally make his senior bow.
“It’s been good to be in that environment with the guys, really good,” Toti said. “I haven’t made my debut yet but I’m waiting and will keep working to get ready for when the chance comes. I need to grab it.”
When asked if he’s desperate to finally play for Portugal, Toti added: “For sure! I’ll get working and I’m grateful for the opportunity.
“Everything has been quick and there’s not been much time to think.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity, I’ve been working hard for this from the start and it’s just the beginning.
“There’s much more to come and I’ll keep working.”
One player who is due for his Portugal debut is Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa.
The 30-year-old was first called up in 2017 and has been in squads at major tournaments, but never made an appearance.
Sa said via Portuguese outlet Cabine Desportiva: “The coach spoke to me and told me that I would be the one playing on Thursday. Obviously, I was happy. It will be a dream for me, an unforgettable night that I will remember for the rest of my life.”
