Ten years of Fosun: The top five Wolves signings
Throughout this month, the Express & Star are building up to the 10-year anniversary of Fosun buying Wolves with a series of articles detailing the Chinese conglomerate's ownership of the Black Country club.
The Fosun era has brought a number of gems to Wolves.
From the Championship to the Europa League, the club enjoyed a successful spell before a period of decline.
Here are our five best signings, in no particular order, during Fosun’s 10 years of owning Wolves.
Ruben Neves
Wolves made a statement by signing Neves from FC Porto for a club record £15million in 2017.
The Portuguese midfielder helped propel Wolves to the Championship title and continued to shine in the Premier League.
Neves gained a reputation for scoring beautiful goals and scored 30 and set-up 13 more in 253 games in total.

He also helped lead Wolves to the FA Cup semi-finals in 2019 and Europa League quarter-finals in 2020.
Wolves officially named him club captain in 2022, but Neves departed the following year to join Al Hilal for £47million.
Diogo Jota
The late Jota stormed on to the scene after initially joining on loan from Atletico Madrid in 2017.
His loan was made permanent in 2018 and Jota scored 17 league goals en route to the Championship title.
He scored a hat-trick in a 4-3 win over Leicester City in January 2019 and the winner against Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

A pair of hat-tricks against Besitkas and Espanyol followed in his final season - including a 12-minute treble against the former.
After joining Liverpool for an initial £41million in September 2020, which rose to £45million in add-ons, Jota scored 65 times in 182 appearances for the Reds.
Jota lifted the Premier League, FA Cup and EFL Cup with Liverpool, before his tragic death sent shockwaves through the footballing fraternity last year.
Raul Jimenez
Initially joining on loan, Jimenez scored a club record 13 times in a top-flight season in 2018-19, before bettering that record with 17 during the following campaign.
His move from Benfica was made permanent towards the end of his first season and Jimenez marked his second campaign with 27 goals across all competitions.

However, the striker suffered a fractured skull in a clash of heads with former Arsenal defender David Luiz in November 2020.
Jimenez spent two more seasons with Wolves and rebuilt his career during three years at Fulham in the Premier League.
The Mexican returned to Wolves this summer off the back of leading his nation to the World Cup last 16.
Joao Moutinho

Picked up for just £5million from Monaco, Moutinho oozed class throughout his five seasons at Wolves.
Moutinho made 212 appearances for Wolves in total, scoring five goals, and was a fan favourite during that time.
It was a bargain of a deal for a player with such quality.
Matheus Cunha
Cunha joined on an initial loan, which included an automatic permanent deal worth a club record £43million.
The Brazilian would prove a polarising figure due to his behaviour, but his brilliance on the pitch shone through.

He scored in an FA Cup win at Black Country rivals West Brom in January 2024 and followed that with a hat-trick at Chelsea a week later.
His first full season heralded 14 goals and he plundered 17 in 36 games during his final campaign in 2024/25.
Cunha departed for Manchester United in 2025 - completing his switch to Old Trafford for £62.5million.
