Steve Bull: Wolves must focus on the important fixtures

Wolves need to beat the teams around them this season to continue the good feeling we have under Gary O’Neil.

Losing any game is disappointing but if it’s against the teams at the top, and we’re beating those at the bottom, I’d take that this season.

Last weekend we gave Arsenal too much credit in the first half and let them walk all over us in a way.

We were very light in midfield and we were overrun. A half-time telling off saw us take the game to them in the second half, but it was a fair result.

Going into the Burnley game, it was a very tactical game plan to stop them playing and sometimes you have to win ugly.

Hwang scored again and showed how clinical he is. You can go 90 minutes without a shot and then get one shot and score, that’s what I used to do back in the day!

That’s his job. Work hard for the team and when you get that chance in front of goal, make sure you put it away and get the three points.

Hwang has been absolutely brilliant. He isn’t an out-and-out number nine, but he’s scoring the goals for us.

If we can beat Forest that would be brilliant, but all the games will be tough as teams either scrap at the top of the bottom of the table.

We’re going the right way at the moment and I’m confident we won’t be involved at the bottom. Bring the teams on and we’ll have a go at them!

Steve Cooper is fighting for his life at Forest, but we need the three points to push ourselves further away from the bottom.

It will be a very tough game, it always is against Forest, but I’m hoping the crowd can get behind the team and push us on to get that vital win.

You need to take every single game as it comes and if we can have a good go against Forest and get the win, that is a great six points from nine in these last three games.

If we can get to 20 points before Christmas, which we’re very close to now, we won’t be far away from survival.
