Steve Bull: The excellent Matheus Cunha cannot be relied on for Wolves goals
Matheus Cunha was brilliant against Manchester United, but I don’t think he’ll get the goals for Wolves.

For me, he’s not an out-and-out number nine, I think he’s a number 10 behind the front man.
But his work-rate from box to box is incredible. I’d love to see him get a goal as it could start him on a goalscoring run, but is he the answer to all the goalscoring issues? I don’t think so.
We need someone like Fabio Silva to score 15-20 goals this season and be that number nine. If he stays, which looks likely, he needs to get his goalscoring boots on. He only needs one and I then think he’ll get a few.
Despite that, I think Gary O’Neil should keep the same starting XI from the first game, when we take on Brighton.
It’s all about momentum and it makes sense to keep the players that played so well.
I think Wolves’ performance at Old Trafford will have shook quite a few people, especially those that had us down to be relegated.
I know it’s only one game, but that performance was absolutely unbelievable.
The work-rate the players put in was spot on and it stopped Manchester United from playing football. It even opened my eyes a bit, it was unbelievable. The players were playing for Gary O’Neil.
The midfield of Joao Gomes and Mario Lemina ran the show in the middle of the park, while Matheus Nunes and Cunha were also excellent.
To come away with nothing was shocking. I know we’ll have good and bad decisions from referees over the season, but the decision not to give Wolves a penalty when Sasa Kalajdzic was taken out, was appalling.
Everybody could see in the stadium and watching on at home that it was a blatant penalty, and we got nothing from the game.
But we showed the spirit and character we have in the side, so we have to look forwards now. It’s only one game and we now need to take the same work-rate and spirit into the game against Brighton, and we might get the three points we deserve.
