Steve Bull: Battle to be No.1 will keep Wolves keepers on their toes
I like the idea of having more competition for Wolves’ goalkeepers.

Coming in for his debut, I thought Sam Johnstone did very well against Nottingham Forest.
He probably could have done better with their goal, but he made a number of other good saves and was very agile.
He’s set his stall out and wants the number one shirt, and I think we have two good goalkeepers with Jose Sa still here.
Sa may feel uncertain about his future and in a no-win situation, but I think it’s nice for Wolves to have competition on the pitch. I love it!
It makes the other player hungrier to get back on the field and if he does stay, he needs to fight for his place.
Looking back at the Forest game, the fans will have taken a point before the game but I was optimistic and wanted all three points. I thought we could go there and get a win, but Forest’s thorn in our side is Chris Wood, who always pops up against Wolves with a crucial goal, and he could have had more with one chalked off for offside.
We know their dangers with the big man up front and we should have taken care of it.
In my opinion, their goal was another bad defensive error.
We’ve got to start cutting these mistakes out because the bigger teams will score more goals against us if we continue to be unreliable at the back.
We need to tighten that up, that should be our main focus.
Craig Dawson came in and was as solid as a rock. He will put his head where it hurts and put his body in the line of fire to get a result.
He’s a good centre-back who will be the key to us winning more games this season.
But my concern after the transfer window was Wolves not signing another centre-back.
We’d all love to see more players joining the club, but sometimes that’s how it goes.
Yerson Mosquera and Toti Gomes are two very good players but you need experience at the back to take care of certain situations.
However, we got back into the game and what a great strike it was from Jean-Ricner Bellegarde. I was at the game with the away fans and they were all frustrated saying the players should shoot more, inside and outside the box.
Instead we’re trying to score these pretty, lovely, perfect goals when sometimes you need to take aim.
Bellegarde did that and what a cracking goal it was!
In the end, it was a good point and hopefully it will give them some confidence to kick on now.
Rayan Ait-Nouri played further forward and for Gary O’Neil his position will be a headache.
We have the players in the squad to cover left-back, in my opinion, which means Ait-Nouri could fight for a place on the wing.
You want your best players on the pitch and Ait-Nouri is one of them, and it will be one Ait-Nouri has to consider moving forward.
You always have to have a Plan B, when it comes to different formations, and O’Neil will use this international break wisely.
