Steve Bull: All Wolves were lacking last season was a number nine
Wolves were much better to watch this season and Gary O’Neil did a brilliant job with what he had at his disposal.

He needs a number nine to lead the line, which we haven’t had, but the players who floated in and out throughout the season in the attacking third have done brilliantly.
All we were lacking was a number nine who could notch 15 or 20 goals, but the attackers we had did a very good job in the circumstances.
Matheus Cunha and Hwang Hee-chan finished as the top two goalscorers and made a big improvement on the season before.
They battled injuries as well but still got the goals to keep us in the league.
They’ve been tremendous. To get 14 and 13 goals respectively in all competitions is brilliant.
You hope they can continue that goalscoring record next season, but the service into them both needs to be quality for them to do it.
That pair should have confidence for next season. All they want to do is score goals and they work hard for the team, so make sure the service is right and I believe they can both take the chances in front of them.
Fingers crossed players like Pedro Neto, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Nelson Semedo will stay at the club and we can add even more goals to our game going forward.
I’m relieved we finished in a great position in the league with the squad we had and we have to kick on from there.
The players need to enjoy their holidays but then come back ready to kick on properly.
Hopefully they will also return and see some new team-mates as the squad needs additions.
I’ll keep saying it until the season starts, we need signings!
We need a striker but it’s also not just about the forward line. When Craig Dawson was injured you could tell we needed another experienced defender.
When Mario Lemina or Joao Gomes were out I also felt we needed another midfielder.
But picking up a number nine has to be a priority.
