REPORT: Wolves target Kike set to remain at Middlesbrough
Jordan Rhodes' move to Middlesbrough is back on - but Wolves target Kike is set to stay at the club.
Boss Kenny Jackett confirmed Wolves are highly interested in the Spanish striker, aged 26, with the fee agreed believed to be £2million.

But reports close to the club have claimed that Kike is now set to stay at the Riverside Stadium, despite being heavily linked with a move to Molineux.
With the loan window closing tonight and opening back up in a week's time, Wolves are likely to put the move on the back-burner and then rekindle their interest after seven days.
Rhodes' proposed £9million move from Blackburn Rovers looked dead in the water yesterday, as the striker failed to agreed personal terms.
But the transfer looks set to be resurrected, with the 25-year-old believed to be back on his way to Middlesbrough.
Kike left Middlesbrough's Rockliffe Park training ground at 1.30pm this afternoon with Compton Park rumoured to be his destination.
Jackett said: "He is a player we have followed and inquired about. But there's a number of players we've inquired about – we're looking at home and abroad.
"We're waiting for information. He is a player we have made an inquiry about, but it's not the only one we're waiting on. There are some long-standing targets."
Jackett admitted that a striker was probably the only position Wolves would look to strengthen today.
He added: "It's the only position that's likely to develop today, yes, and our inquiries have been about that position."
Of moving for a left-back to replace the departed Scott Golbourne, Jackett said: "Certainly not today, we won't be doing that."
And the Wolves chief ruled out anyone leaving Molineux today, saying: "There's nothing that's developing – we've had no fresh, new or ongoing bids for any of our players. Nor would we welcome it either. We won't be moving players out."
Jackett is keen to add a second forward to accompany new £3m signing Joe Mason.
