In the immediate aftermath of that game the Baggies manager said he was disappointed with his team's display and today added that he had seen nothing on the video to change his mind.

"I have sat and watched it over all again and I haven't changed my opinion," said Mowbray.

"It wasn't our most fluent performance and there are plenty of things to improve on.

"But I've also got to accentuate the fact that we came away with a victory, which is very important.

"As I've said all season, it is about marrying the performance level with results.

"We got the result on Sunday and I suppose the argument is like that on the last day of the season when we needed to beat Barnsley and we did.

"I suppose in a cauldron like Molineux was the players performed fine, but I felt we can do a bit better.

"I know we can do a lot better and we will do a lot better.

"And if we do a lot better than we did on Sunday then Wolves will need to find some improvement as well."

Mowbray is aware that his team's performance level will count for little if they fail to go on and book a play-off final place for a shot at the Premiership.

But he insists he won't change his game plan, despite already having a lead to protect.

"At this stage of the season performance doesn't matter, but that doesn't mean you don't start off to try and play attractive football at do what you are good at," added Mowbray.

"We will play to our strengths – that is what we always try to do.

"I didn't feel that we played to our strengths on Sunday, but when you've got individuals like Kevin Phillips and Diomansy Kamara who can score goals for you, we came out winning a game."
