Leon Clarke edges closer to Wolves move

Wolves target Leon Clarke today appears to be edging closer to the exit door at Coventry City.

The 28-year-old was heavily criticised for letting his team-mates down after pulling out of last night's 2-0 defeat to Leyton Orient citing a foot injury.

Sky Blues boss Steven Pressley said: "We were let down by an individual last night. It looks more likely he'll leave and he gets his wish."

Kenny Jackett indicated Wolves have bids in for other targets, too, one of which could be Leicester's Martyn Waghorn. "There hasn't been any development over the last couple of days, but there are bids 'parked' that may come back," he said.

"We've been working hard to bring another player in on more than one avenue."
