'Football is dire': Wolves fans take aim after players booed off following 1-1 draw with ten man Sunderland

Wolves fans booed the players off for a second week in a row.

Wolves fans have taken aim at Rob Edwards and their side’s performance in the 1-1 draw with Sunderland.

Edwards’ side ended a run of three straight defeats against the ten men - but the fans were left less than impressed.

Santi Bueno equalised after Sunderland had gone in front and then had a man sent off when Dan Ballard pulled Tolu Arokodare’s hair.

Wolves did have chances but substitutions were booed and fans were unhappy Wolves didn’t throw everything at it to pick up a win.

One fans wants Edward to succeed but was baffled by his changes, explaining: “Desperately want Edwards to lead us to promotion, really want it to work for him.

“That though was a disgrace, as have the prior three games. Supine cowardice. 5ATB vs 10 men for 80 mins.

“Taking Hugo off for a guy who won't be here. Giving Edozie an insulting 30 seconds.”

Another added: “Imagine not setting a team up to attack when we already relegated and at home Edwards Out.”

One Wolves supported said he was on the fence about Edwards, but that has changed now, explaining: “I was on the fence. But having sat back and evaluated. He's tactically inept.

“Hasn't got the players fighting for him nor their future. Hasn't got a viable plan or identity.

“Can't do anything to alter the course of a game and isn't going to be the sort of manager we need next yr.”

While another added: “Like I have said for months no clue no tactics just wanting to be liked surely this has to be the final insult against 10 men and still defending for our lives RE has to.

“Go now so we can prepare properly for a long hard season to come.”
