Fans to join in tribute to Wolves and Watford great Kenny Jackett
Former boss will be focus of tribute and special matchday programme
In the joint histories of Wolves and Watford, no-one has made a greater impact on both than the late Kenny Jackett.
While Graham Taylor will always be regarded as the Hornets’ greatest ever manager, his time at Molineux – while by no means a failure – would not be regarded in the same light as that of his former Watford left-back Jackett.

He guided Wolves back from humiliation of a double relegation after taking the Molineux hot-seat in 2013, and will be the subject of a tribute from both sets of supporters before kick-off on Saturday after his untimely death in the summer at the age of 64.
Jackett played more than 400 games for Watford, before going on to manage the club in the 1990s with Luther Blissett – before stepping back to first-team coach when Graham Taylor once again took the Vicarage Road hot-seat.
At Wolves though, Jackett was very much the right man at the right time for the top job.

An unforgettable march to the League One title – which revitalised the club and re-energised a fanbase embittered by their rapid fall from grace – was crucial. It was an appointment which the board could not afford to get wrong.
That side set a divisional record of 103 points as they cut a swathe through the division on their way back to the Championship. It was a season fans still cherish.
Jackett re-established Wolves in the second tier – in no small way making the club ripe for the Fosun takeover which followed. The irony that he paid the price with his job for the new owners’ ambition and desire for a new direction should not be forgotten.
Jackett features on the cover of the Molineux matchday programme. His close family will be in attendance to see and hear the high regard in which he is still held by both clubs. They are sure to be left in little doubt.
