Wolves boss Mick McCarthy believes all parties have benefitted from Mark Davies's move to Bolton.
The 21-year-old midfielder moved to the Reebok Stadium last January for a fee rising to £2m only for a string of injuries to delay his impact at first team level.
Davies has since found his fitness and first team appearances easier to come by having been reunited with former Molineux academy director Chris Evans, now Bolton's assistant manager.
Wolves wanted to keep Davies but the player, who has started twice in the Premier League this season chose to move on.
And the Wolves boss believes the move has worked out well for everyone.
"He was very highly thought of here," said McCarthy.
"Then he had loads of injuries and then didn't play a great deal of football. Good luck to him.
"He's been in and out, he's been a substitute quite a bit."
