Collins: We have momentum

Stopper Neill Collins reckons the Molineux men have momentum on their side as they go in search of the perfect ending to the 'new Wolves' success story.

The Scottish defender reckons Wolves have given themselves a real chance in the end of season play-off lottery by timing their promotion push perfectly.

Collins is the latest player to deliver an upbeat bulletin from inside the Molineux camp – where the feeling is building that they are on the verge of completing one of the most uplifting success stories in Wolves' recent history.

"I really do think we've hit the play-offs with a bit of momentum now. I feel confident going into the play-offs and I think we all do," he said.

"It has been said before that its a lottery when you get down to the end of season business but I feel we're going in at the right time.

"We've got a team that came together in January and no-one is really looking to the end of the season at the moment or finishing the season.

"You see with some teams that by the time May comes around they are ready to finish but for us we're ready to keep going. If Leicester had been the last game of the season it would have come a month too soon. We've got three games now to show that we've got a lot more to offer."

Collins is prepared for two more blood and thunder encounters with Albion, who he reckons have also got form on their side ahead of Sunday's high-noon showdown.

"Its good for them to get into the play-offs because they've had a really rough spell," he said.

"They had some bad decisions go against them so they will now feel they're going into the top six with a bit of momentum."

"Derby games are one-offs, though, they take care of themselves. We came off second best in the first couple but we've really moved up a gear since then. The manager has moulded the squad superbly and I think that showed the last time we played them.

"There will be no quarter given and none asked for. I don't think there is anything to fear from Albion – or anyone else for that matter.

"You look at the way we're playing at the moment and the form of Michael Kightly, Andy Keogh and Seyi Olofinhana and we truly do believe we can beat anyone in this division. We're prepared and thats all you can do."
