Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has admitted enquiring about striker Clinton Morrison, who moved from Crystal Palace to Coventry before the weekend.
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has admitted enquiring about striker Clinton Morrison, who moved from Crystal Palace to Coventry before the weekend.

The move never got off the ground, despite the player known to be available, with Wolves since bringing in Chris Iwelumo to bolster the attack.
The Molineux main man knows the 28-year-old well from his time as Morrison's international boss with the Republic of Ireland.
He said: "We enquired about him, but I've enquired about a lot of players. I've known Clinton a long time. It was discussed between his agent and us, but he was not coming to Wolves.
"He didn't turn us down and we didn't not decide to take him. If I signed every player I enquired about, I'd have 563 players here."
McCarthy also won't be pursuing Ivory Coast trialist and former Toulouse defender Issoumaila Dao, who played in the 2-0 win against Stafford Rangers last week.
He said: "He did really well but it was against Stafford Rangers. He's certainly got qualities but he's 5ft 11ins stroke six foot and in this division, it makes a difference."
