Steve Bull: Wolves need more players in the squad - not more exits
I think I am as frustrated as every other Wolves fan out there – we just need to get some players in.

We have some real talent in the squad, but we still need to strengthen it more – it looks a bit threadbare at the moment.
Max Kilman has been absolutely brilliant for us.
He and Craig Dawson have combined really well together and formed a really good partnership at the heart of the defence.
It would be nice to see them continue that. I think Max loves it at the club and wants to stop, I know his contract is set to run until 2026 with an option of a further year.
If Wolves want to keep certain players like that then you have to give them a tempting offer and try to keep them at the club.
We are light in the middle of defence, we need another good solid centre-half to go with the other two – providing we can keep Kilman, of course.
It is made all the more important with the news that Nathan Collins has moved. He has been in and out of the side over the year and for me personally, I think it is a great sell for the club.
I like to keep players at a club to strengthen it, but that one is a good good sale because we have made money on a player we have used and he has done well for us.
We should wish him the best of luck with the move and say thanks for what you have done for us.
There are rumours circulating about Daniel Podence leaving the club, and like I said at the top of this column we are getting rid of too many players, and in fact, we need to be making additions.
Podence is a tricky winger and he is a very good player. We should try and keep hold of him.
There will be a lot of names mentioned for leaving – Raul Jimenez being another one of them as will Jonny Otto and Rayan Ait-Nouri.
I think we have got to keep faith in these players who have kept us in the Premier League. Inevitably some will move on, but I would like to see more arriving than leaving.
I know it is early and we do not want to get worried yet, but it is good to see a full squad going into pre-season together so they know how each other plays when it comes to the first league game of the season. I think it is typical Wolves, we do it all the time – players always seem to leave before they arrive.
I would rather fill the squad up first and then sell the players.
I am not the owner or the chairman so it is up to them, but they must have a strategic plan in place.
The players are back working hard in pre-season training, and I think it is different now.
When we used to return, we were half-a-stone overweight and it took us about 10 days to get back into it.
Nowadays, they go away with a plan and they still keep fit in the off-season, so I know the players will come back and their fitness levels will not be too different from when they start the season.
The important thing about pre-season is the bonding and playing in certain positions which is one of the reasons it is good to try and get the players in early before the first kick of the ball.
We have one game penned in but I would like to see two or three more before the start of the season.
