The 19-year-old arrives at Molineux on a season-long loan with an option to make the switch permanent.

The French Under-21 international made his senior Angers bow in the 2018/19 season before making a name for himself in the top flight in the following year.

Ruben Vinagre is expected to depart for Olympiacos before tomorrow's transfer deadline with Ait-Nouri his replacement.

“I’d just like to say how immensely proud and happy I am right now, and I’m thrilled to be joining this club," Ait-Nouri said.

“I’m here to try and show everyone here exactly what I’m capable of, the manager, my teammates and the supporters. I hope I can have a great season here.

“I’m really excited to be setting out on this new adventure with Wolverhampton.

“It’s a massive club, a big club and I always had it very clear in my mind that I wanted to come to Wolves and so I’m very happy.

“I’ll be aiming to settle into the club as quickly as I can, and with the help of my teammates, get in the best shape I can, and to try and play as many games as I can in the Premier League, because it’s a league you dream about playing in.”

The youngster insists that boss Nuno Espirito Santo was instrumental in his move.

“I can’t wait to get started working and training with my new coach, I’ve been able to have a chat with him a bit," he added.

"He’s shown he has confidence in me, and he is a very endearing character.

“I get the impression that he believes in me so it’s now down to me to repay all that trust he has shown in me."
