Rui Patricio

Couldn't do anything about the Ocampos header which won it.

Before that, the Portuguese made a string of saves, including a sharp one as he tipped Banega's free-kick over the bar. 7

Willy Boly

All of Wolves' back three put in valiant displays, but Boly was the pick of the bunch.

Went down for a bit of treatment early on with what looked like a thigh issue, and he then gritted his teeth and put in many well-timed tackles. Also won lots of headers and made a series of blocks. 8

Conor Coady

Always the loudest voice on the pitch, Coady organised the backline very well.

Sevilla's pressure proved just too much in the end, but the skipper can hold his head high. 7

Romain Saiss

Got in the way of a Suso rasper in the first half and came up with a few sliding interceptions.

Never afraid to put his body on the line. 7

Matt Doherty

Did well against Reguilon, who consistently surged forward from left-back.

He was not able to get going on the front foot, but there was rarely any opportunity for him to do so. 7

Ruben Neves

Covered plenty of ground but was not able to get on the ball anywhere near as much as he would have liked. 6

Leander Dendoncker

Dendoncker, also, did not have a lot of possession, but he consistently helped out the defence with some diligent work. Got stuck in throughout. 7

Joao Moutinho

Had an audacious pop from 40 yards in the first half, which would have been a right goal.

Aside from that, Moutinho had a pretty quiet game. 6

Ruben Vinagre

Similarly to Doherty, was not able to fly up the pitch as he normally would.

Did a solid job defensively, though, before Wolves finally conceded in the 88th minute. 7

Adama Traore

What a run it was from the Spaniard to win the early penalty for Wolves.

After that, though, Sevilla kept him quiet as the front two struggled to make it stick. 6

Raul Jimenez

It was such a surprise to see Jimenez's penalty saved.

Bono did appear to come off his line, but it was at a nice height for the keeper and the Mexican struggled on the back of it. 5

Subs

Pedro Neto (for Moutinho, 71)

Unable to make an impact as Wolves were sat deep. 5

Diogo Jota (for Traore, 79)

Barely had a kick. N/A
