Nuno Espirito Santo's charges will regroup for the start of pre-season at the end of this week.

Those first sessions will be at Compton, and then they are set to head to the state-of-the-art national football centre in Burton-upon-Trent for the whole week to train and bond further off the pitch.

Wolves are taking part in the Premier League Asia Trophy in China next month and will play two matches.

They will take on Newcastle at 6pm (11am BST) on Wednesday, July 17 in the semi-finals of the four-team tournament at Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre.

Manchester City and West Ham are competing in the other semi later that day, and Wolves will then play either a final or third-place play-off against one of those sides on Saturday, July 20 at Hongkou Stadium in Shanghai.

Wolves will also be unveiling a club megastore in Shanghai and carrying out other activities in club owners Fosun's homeland, and spending the week together at St George's in the Staffordshire countryside is seen as ideal preparation for the squad.

Nuno will not all of his players available for the training camp though.

Star striker Raul Jimenez is currently competing in the Concacaf Gold Cup with Mexico, while utility man Romain Saiss is aiming for Africa Cup of Nations glory with Morocco.

Wolves have reaped the benefits of intensive training camps since Nuno took charge two years ago.

They have been out to the Marbella Football Center in Spain three times, training during the day and taking part in light-hearted activities such as playing golf and going go-karting in the evening.

Also starting next month are Wolves' Europa League qualifiers.

They are taking on either Northern Irish team Crusaders or Faroe Islands outfit B36 Torshavn in the second qualifying round.

The first tie will take place at Molineux on Thursday, July 25, and the away leg is on Thursday, August 1.

No Molineux friendlies are in the pipeline before the start of the new Premier League season at Leicester on Sunday, August 11.
