Nuno Espirito Santo insists Wolves' dramatic equaliser deep into stoppage time against Newcastle perfectly summed up their immense character.

Nuno's never-say-die pack came up with another late show against the Magpies, Willy Boly heading home in the fifth added-on minute at Molineux.

They won right at the end in the reverse fixture in December, and the seventh-placed side are now four unbeaten in the Premier League.

When asked if that was a display of their fighting spirit, Nuno said: "That we have, right until the last minute, until the last second, until the referee whistles for the finish.

"We keep on going, and I think for that I'm really pleased because this is one of the things we must keep on doing – that character, that belief.

"It was not only us but the fans right until the end believed that moment could arrive.

"It came and I think it brings some justice."

Substitute Adama Traore got the assist, crossing to Boly who got there ahead of a flapping Martin Dubravka.

That cancelled out Isaac Hayden's strike for the visitors.

Nuno's side have developed a knack for coming up with last-gasp goals, Boly's being the sixth in or after the 90th minute.

"We've had a lot of moments like this, sometimes it gets you the win, sometimes it doesn't," said Nuno.

"But we cannot look only for that moment of the game. The game was about much more things.

"In the first half, we deserved and created a lot of chances. The final touch was not there, so we have to be clinical against a team who were compact."

On whether a point was fair in the end, Nuno added: "It's not about the point.

"The story could be different. The first half was totally controlled, well played, a lot of combinations and situations that we must score from for the next time."
