Wolves wing-back Matt Doherty has won the PFA Fans' Premier League Player of the Month award for September.

Doherty celebrates his goal at Crystal Palace on Saturday (AMA)

It has been quite the few days for the 26-year-old Irishman.

He scored his first top flight goal to seal a 1-0 win at Crystal Palace on Saturday and has now been given the gong ahead of Arsenal's Alexandre Lacazette, Chelsea's Eden Hazard, Leicester's James Maddison and Manchester City pair Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling.

Doherty received 39 per cent of the vote after chipping in with two assists as Wolves went unbeaten through September.
