An unbeaten run of five matches has seen Wolves climb to ninth, just three points behind fourth place.

They’re even ahead of Manchester United in the early standings, going into matches against Crystal Palace, Watford and Brighton.

Coady said: “That’s what we plan on doing (sustaining it). We work on it every day to sustain it and we sustained it last season in a tough division.

“Hopefully we can enjoy it for as long as it lasts. We will see.

“It’s pleasing for the club that we’re doing OK and everyone is behind it. Everyone knows what the city is like for getting behind us when we’re doing well and the way everyone is coming together at the minute is brilliant for everyone.

“We’ve got to step up this season and try to do it again. We’re enjoying what we’re doing at the minute, we’re enjoying how we play, and we enjoy listening to the manager and as long as we keep on doing, we should be OK.” Coady’s boss Nuno Espirito Santo has earned numerous plaudits for Wolves’ impressive start to the campaign.

And the Wolves fans clearly adore the Portuguese head coach, who they have now dubbed the ‘real’ special one.

“He’s brilliant,” Coady said. “The way he sets us up and the way he speaks to you, you understand everything he says, so you don’t really have to ask him questions because when he speaks to you, you understand everything.

“So what he brings on the training pitch and what we’ve learned from him day in, day out, he’s brilliant and he’s great to have.

“He’s got his own style and his own way of playing and since he’s been to this club he has been fantastic, he really has.

“I think he’s changed everything to do with this football club and it’s gone in the right direction ever since
