Rafa Mir leaves Wolves on loan

Wolves striker Rafa Mir has joined Spanish side Las Palmas on loan for the season.

The 21-year-old signed for Wolves from Valencia last January in a £1.5million move but only featured four times last season.

He started pre-season with Nuno Espirito Santo's first team squad and scored goals against Basel and Young Boys during the tour of Switzerland.

However with the signings of Raul Jimenez and Leo Bonatini this summer – plus another forward likely to be on the way before the August 9 deadline – Mir is way down the pecking order at Molineux.

He will spend the season with the Spanish La Liga 2 side. Mir has four years remaining on his Wolves contract.
