West Brom team news: James Morrison opts for four changes for Watford clash

James Morrison has confirmed his Baggies line-up for the clash against Watford.

James Morrison has confirmed four changes to his Albion side for the home clash against Watford.

The alterations include a first start since early February for central defender Chris Mepham. Mepham has replaced Nat Phillips, who is a substitute.

Also back in Albion’s first XI is striker Aune Heggebo for the first time following his controversial suspension and a subsequent bout of illness.

Heggebo will partner Jimmy-Jay Morgan once again as Felix Horn Myhre drops to the bench.

It appears Morrison has reverted to the 4-4-2 that enjoyed a winning start to the campaign.

Midfield duo Rabby Nzingoula and Harry Whitwell have also been handed starts against the Hornets.

French summer recruit Nzingoula, who has been so impressive from the bench, has replaced Jayson Molumby who drops to the bench.

Academy graduate Whitwell lost his place for the midweek draw against Charlton on Wednesday but is back in Morrison’s side on the right flank instead of the benched Kareem Tunde.

New signing Tunde lasted just 45 minutes of his first start on Wednesday, but was withdrawn tired.

Fellow new recruit Brayann Pereira is on the bench for the first time.

Wales international Mepham has played second fiddle to George Campbell and Phillips for the start of this season after his second half of last term was scuppered by a muscle injury picked up in his last start, in a goalless draw against Stoke at The Hawthorns on February 7.

Albion are without a clean sheet in six games this term.

Visitors Watford - who have started with one win from four league games - have also made four changes.

Albion (4-4-2): O’Leary; Galves, Campbell (c), Mepham, Styles; Whitwell, Nzingoula, Diakite, Price; Heggebo, Morgan.

Subs: Ingram (gk), Townsend, Phillips, Pereira, Collyer, Molumby, Tunde, Horn Myhre, Stewart,
